What cities will win the MACCA Lottery?

We all thought the "Up and Coming Tour" would end after the two shows in Pittsburgh this Wednesday & Thursday, and that Paul would take a break before going back in the studio to record a new album. As reported here at MACCA-Central, Paul revealed recently before his Toronto gigs that he has written a whack of new songs and is ready to record them after he finds a producer.

We'll he may do that but he's just may throw another speed ball at us. Seems the "Up and Coming Tour" will not end, just yet. There is talk coming from the Philly shows that there will be six more shows added on to this tour, October/November. So then so we can speculate he'll spend some quality family time in September and perhaps secure a producer for his new record. Then get back on tour before his usual end of year break.

First question fans will demand is WHERE? Tell us NOW!  If this pans out, what cities will win the MACCA Lottery? Stay tuned to this space . . .

Hmmmm, let me look into my crystal ball....I`d say the 6 added shows would be two dates in NYC, two in Chicago, one in Cleveland, and one in Minnesota?! (Though if he came to Wichita or Omaha, I wouldn`t object at all:)

NO WAY!!!!!!!! Paul has become a touring machine! Well, of course, we`d LOVE to have him back in Philly, anytime! I`m surprised he hasn`t done New Orleans recently given his connections to the Crescent City. I know it would lift spirits there after the trauma of the last few years.

I am dying for a show in Ottawa Canada. Come on Paul! So many of us have made our way to Toronto and Montreal for shows over the years. I myself have travelled to Columbus, NYC and Boston in addition to Toronto and Montreal. It would be wonderful for you to grace Canada`s Capital. It would be the biggest show in Ottawa`s history!

Too bad one of those added cities wasn`t Orlando. But then again, Not very many big acts come through Orlando these days, as it is fast becoming regarded as a secondary market. I hope this trend reverses someday, so that Macca will come back to O-Town. After all, It has been 17 years since the first AND last time he played there. As for the new record, I hope he does the right thing AND the smart thing and enlists either David Khane or Nigel Godrich to produce it. Those 2 men have been responsible for helping Paul make his last 3 among albums the best he`s done in years! I just hope it displays paul`s patented versatility the way "Memory" did. Although `Chaos` was an excellent album, it showed only one dimension of Paul: As a slow to mid-tempo Balladeer, with 0 rockers thrown in the mix. Otherwise, I don`t think any other producer would do Paul justice the way Nigel and DK have.

Mike, it`s PITTSBURGH with an "H" at the end. I can`t tell you how annoying it is when people get this wrong. Folks here are really geared up for Paul`s long-awaited return to the steel city. I first saw him here in 1990, and most recently had to go to Cleveland a few years ago since it was his closest stop. Now that we have a new arena that can handle the McCartney experience, hopefully we won`t have to wait so long between visits.
