Hey Gals and Guys,

I'm beat tired and have to catch an early flight tomorrow to try to get home in time for Christmas!! Anyway, very long day here in London. VIP Packages had to be at the arena at 2:45pm for check in. At 3pm they started letting us to the room where dinner would be served. The food at the O2 arena (Union Square Restaurant) was not very good. A lot of people I know were on packages and were disappointed with the food. Service was pretty good though. Also unlike prior shows that I have been to, there was quite a lot of grumbling about seating for the VIP's. Some were not in rows 3 thru 5 like promised. Others like myself were sent all the way to the end of the row by stands. A little disappointing. Around 4:45pm they took us down to sound check, They let us know that pictures were alright but no filming would be allowed. Sound check was great, here is the set list.......

We were then led out of the arena and back to the restaurant for a cash bar cocktail party. While there, the hot rumour was that Ringo was here and many expected him to play tonight. I've heard this one before!!! Well, of course, to cut things short...>>Ringo never showed!!. About 7:45pm, we were led to our seats to get ready for the show.

At approximately 8:30pm, the lights went down and Macca appeared with a black jacket, black pants and beatle boots. Underneath was a white shirt and black suspenders. This arena has all of the bells and whistles and sounds great. The floor chairs though were very uncomfortable. The London crowd in itself was pretty good but no where near the Dublin crowd. This however did not slow Paul and band down at all as it was another great performance. Paul's voice had a few cracks with the two shows so close to each other but all in all sounded fantastic!! While telling the George story before "Something" again, Paul broke into the first verse and chorus of "Leaning on a Lamp Post" which the London crowd gladly joined in on. A lot of early exits between encores! The set list is as follows:

London Set List
01. Magical Mystery Tour
02. Drive My Car
03. Jet
04. Only Mama Knows
05. Flaming Pie
06. Got To Get You Into My Life

08. Highway
09. Long and Winding Road
10. I want to come home
11. My Love
12. Blackbird
13. Here Today
14. Dance Tonight
15. And I Love Her
16. Eleanor Rigby
17. Leaning on a Lampost/ Something

There was an after cocktail party for VIP package holders which I decided to catch the last train back to the hotel instead of going with the early flight and being wipes out. Well, that's all from this tour, been my pleasure sending you all the news but I really can't wait to get home and in my own bed!!!! Bob

I would have loved to see Mull of Kintyre played in Paris with the Scottish Pipe Band. I am a Celt myself (from Brittany in France, with Irish roots on my mother`s side) and I love listening to Celtic music.
