| Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr and Eddie Vedder and Donovan and Sheryl Crow and Ben Harper and Moby and Bettye LaVette and Jim James
Paul McCartney is on a tear, more than nearly 50 years after he began playing music: The reaction to his 2007 album Memory Almost Full was largely (and sometimes giddily) positive, and he followed that with Electric Arguments, the third album by the so-called Firemen, McCartney's experimental collaboration between himself and producer Youth.
And now: He's headlining Coachella. There's no telling how he'll go over with the young fans camping out in the California desert, but McCartney has a certain charisma, to be sure. Here, he'll headline a "Change Begins Within Benefit Concert," which serves to benefits the David Lynch Foundation. Others on the bill, on-hand to espouse the wisdom of meditation, include Ringo Starr, Eddie Vedder, Donovan, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Moby, Bettye Lavette, Paul Horn, and Jim James.
