Paul McCartney's ``Back in The U.S.'' Concert DVD and Live Album Set First Week Sales Records for Artist
Paul McCartney's "Back In The U.S.: Concert Film" has scored the biggest-selling debut week for a stand-alone
music DVD in SoundScan history. With sales of 61,267 copies, the DVD enters the chart at No. 1 this week.
In addition, more copies of the two-CD "Back In The U.S.: Live 2002" have
been sold in its debut week than any McCartney solo since the inception of
SoundScan. The album, which will debut at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200
Albums chart with 224,245 copies sold, is also No. 1 on the Internet Sales chart.
The "Back In The U.S. Tour" was the top-grossing concert tour of 2002,
according to Billboard, with box office of more than $100 million in the U.S. alone.
