Paul is at it again. This time to kick off a US swing of what is now called 2011 On The Run Tour. A July 15th show in New York's Yankee Stadium has been confirmed and I suspect more gigs will be announced. Our pal Bob Gannon is at it again too. This time he was in Vegas to catch the LOVE 5th anniversary show (see report), and for Paul's return to the MGM Grand to kick off a US swing of what is now 2011 Up and Coming Tour. A slide show of pictures from Bob at Vegas shows will be up soon.

Hey gang,
My friends heard part of soundcheck:
Blue Suede Shoes
Honey Don't
Junior's Farm
Ebony and Ivory
Cmoon
Celebration
Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying
Coming Up and at some point
Let it Be
until they got kicked out of the area they were listening from.
Concert: Let me start with a shout out to HP. Their registration and ticket dispensing was amazingly efficient. It took less than 5 minutes to finish the whole thing. We got GA floor seats. Also today, there was either an MGM or HP lady giving out some free wristbands to some lucky fans!!!
We got Junior's Farm with a slight lyric mistake but it sounded great and the crowd gave a warm reception to it. Sound check started late and didn't finish to almost 7pm holding the crowd at the gates until they finished. The show itself was shortened as well. Paul and band sounded great with Paul doing black slacks and a purple coat! He gave a should out to HP and also Las Vegas which he said is also known as "lost Wages". Paul was very interactive and seemed to be having fun. Show started around 840pm. Some new Wings footage and songs on the pre-show. Long day waiting on line and show with another long one tomorrow. Great show, a lot of the fans that came wound up in the front of the GA. Pictures to come!

Soundcheck: As always, soundcheck was very entertaining. Notes from inside: Paul dedicated San Francisco Bay Blues to his long time employee and person in charge of VIP's Shelley Lazar. Towards the end of soundcheck Paul read signs in the audience and decided to bring several of them on stage. Not sure what the first one said but they brought two young kids up to the stage. The second person's sign read "heal my broken leg..sign my cast" and the third one was my buddy Keri who's son held up, "please hug my mom". Paul posed for pictures with the two young kids and then he signed the cast and gave Keri a nice hug. At the end of soundcheck my books were delivered to Paul and band.
