Next `McCartney Archive` release ?

  • Source: macca-central.com
  • By: Mike Kovacich

MusicTAP has claimed that the next releases of Remastered McCartney albums will be on May 24th. They say that Run Devil Run (1999), Driving Rain (2001), and Chaos & Creation In The Back Yard (2005) will be reissued. A bit of confusion as they said when Band on the Run was released, McCartney, Ram, Venus & Mars, Wings At The Speed of Sound, Wings Over America would be "coming soon".

It's gonna be great seeing what gems get thrown in these packages. Stay tuned to this space for everything McCartney.

It would really take some killer bonus tracks for me to want to buy remasterd copies of Chaos.., Driving Rain or Run Devil Run. What is Paul or Hear Music thinking? Remastered copies McCartney, Ram, Wild life and Red Rose Speedway would make so much more sense. While there are plenty of boots out there, we all know Paul has a tons of early Live Wings material that would be fantastic to get legit copies of! Come on Paul, open the vaults!!!

I hoped they would reissue and remaster McCartney`s next studio album first. I`m curious about the bonus tracks and also on how they would repackage an album that has not yet been released. Reissuing old records seems so dated by now, it`s getting old. I like the thought of reissuing new albums in the future instead of releasing them for the first time. They could start by reissuing McCartney`s next studio for the third time for instance. I would appreciate that, I bet it would be quite classic already.
