Been listening to the bonus tracks on the new RAM release. I noticed that "A Love For You" has a decidedly different mix than the version of this song that appears in soundtrack of the 2003 movie The In-Laws. I believe the mix featured on RAM was actually created back in the 80's. Didn't McCartney record new vocal overdubs on that 2003 version? I've listened to both versions and can't really tell what he added (vocally) to the latter version.
Paul overdubbed new backing vocals, guitars, bass and drums modeling on the old recording, and for the most part kept his original vocal. I kind of like the 2003 version slightly better.
Everyone's talkin' 'bout the President
We all chip in for a bag of cement
According to Kahne, Paul only recorded a few vocal lines and a new guitar part back in 2003. Everything else was either from the various overdubs in the 70's or from the 1981 & 1986 overdub sessions.
