Best drumming on a Beatles track

Regardless of all suggestions and comments by his fellow Beatles,
Ringo's "feel" for what a certain song needed in terms of rhythm and style, his precise beat patterns and his unique (at the time, later heavily imitated) "fills" made him a great drummer.

I think he's the best "discrete and creative" drummer ever !!
By the way, it's kinda easy to spot tracks/songs in which Ringo's drumming is absent. Paul's drumming (and at least one case of George's drumming) do stick out (in the bad sense of the expression) because they're not even close to Ringo's.

I just found out that Ringo´s drumming improved a lot in 1965 or am I wrong. On Rubber Soul he plays some great drums.

Well, I'm not sure if that was a Paul's drumming suggestion but that is true that Ringo that handled the sticks on drums so well...

As far as I know, the drumming on DP and BITUSSR is Paul's, with some assistance by George. During those recording days Ringo had gone to Sardinia w/ his family. He was stressed out with the tensions within the band so he quit the Beatles for about a forthnight and took off with his family to sail on Petter Sellers' yatch.
