Good things come to those who wait mr. kite, eh Steve-o?, lol

I started french horn in elementary school when Revolver came out. Needless to say, I could never hit those impossibly high notes!

For No One takes me directly into my melancholy puppy love years, lol

My 6 year old daughter Ellen is a Beatles fan and knows all the albums. She prefers pre Sgt Pepper era as most young kids do, but FNO is her fave.

Yeah, Paul once said that John gave him the greatest compliment he ever got from him about this song, saying that it was better than any of his.

Hey man since you've got such a book could you tell me if Paul or George played bass on Taxman? I know Macca played lead guitar but looking it up some say Paul played it and others George.

According to Mark L and Ian McDonald, Paul played bass on Taxman.

I use to play For No One over and over again, singing along at the top of my lungs till my parents told me to shut up. Great Song! Now I need to listen to it again :D

Your day breaks, your mind aches,
There will be times when all the things she said
Will fill your head,
You won't forget her.

Truer words were never spoken or said so wonderfully.
"Step on the gas and wipe that tear away,
One sweet dream came true today!"

I love For No One. It's one of my favourite Beatle Paul songs!! And also the first Beatles song I learnt to play on the guitar, so it has a special meaning to me. Still love playing it.

Simply one of the most beautiful things ever recorded.

...and a great, great bassline.

I love, love, love this song.

Part of me wishes I could have a really bad breakup with someone just so that I could listen to this song
