Beatles Have A New Project

Postby Shai » Wed Aug 21, 2002 11:17 am

In October This Year
Has Planned The Beatles Will Realease Collection Of 50 Songs
In 2 Cds
The Live Beatles Paul And Ringo Don't Speak About It
But Some Of The people In Emi
Says That If We Think That Beatles 1 Was A Big And Great Project?
Wait Till You See The Next Collection
They Said It Be Like Beatles 1
The Album Will Start With Love Me Do
And The Next We Live And Wait!

Is There Anybody Who Allso Know About It?

Peace

I don't see a need for future compilations of previously released BEATLES tracks. I see a need for the entire catalog to be spiffed up and remastered.

If there were to be new Beatles releases on CD, I'd suggest the following:

THE BEATLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL
Never my favorite album, but since it was an official release, I think it should be released on CD - perhaps with extra tracks so it would run at least 65 minutes.

THE BEATLES' CHRISTMAS ALBUM
This should be available without having to give money to bootleggers.

THE BEATLES ON ED SULLIVAN
All their live appearances on Ed Sullivan's show should be available in a 2 disc set.

THE BEATLES' BLOOPERS
Bad title, I know, but it would be fun to have an inexpensive CD of studio outtakes where The Beatles mess up and make humorous comments. Maybe this could be a limited edition bonus disc for the CHRISTMAS ALBUM

THE BEATLES - ANTHOLOGY 4 : LEFTOVERS
One last plunge into the EMI vaults. Give us the long HELTER SKELTER. We're ready for it! I want to hear the 1969 version of LOVE ME DO, no matter how bad it was! Let's have a stereo version of the 8 minute mix of IT'S ALL TOO MUCH. We want the CARNIVAL OF LIGHT track too!

I don't really care about this remastered albums thing. It would just cost a lot to replace a catalog. And I don't find the end result worth it.
I'd rather have all the unreleased outakes, raw demos etc...
Something more like Shea Stadium.
I find those interesting, although I have quite a lot of them on boots.
And like the Beatles, I collect boots too.

Unfortunately, Auj, the Shea concert was piped through the regular PA system, so i dont think an audio tape exists, other than the sound from the film they shot.

Unfortunately the Beatles catalog DOES need to be fixed up a bit, just one more time. True, it'll be a hassle getting all the albums all over again, but these mid-1980's CDs sound so wimpy compared to the depth and clarity of the Yellow Submarine Songtrack and most of the ANTHOLOGY tracks. The old CDs (PLEASE PLEASE ME through PAST MASTERS VOL 2) just don't sound as great as they deserve to sound. Analog to Digital technology has come a long way since 1988.
