Shinestar: First of all, I don't know why I'm even doing this. But, you want me to prove it to you, so I will. I guess you're the type of person who doesn't believe it unless you see, read or hear it for yourself. As Americans, most of us know that P. Mac has been a strong supporter of our defense since Sept. 11th. Furthermore, Paul stated in a quote on this very site that he is very glad of Tony Blair's support of the U.S. as an ally in defense. These are some quotes from Paul which can be found on THIS VERY SITE, Macca Central. There are many more from other places, but I'm not gonna spend half my Sunday evening looking for them.
"So I'm going to do this benefit show to show solidarity. The thing is that people may disagree with how we live, but this attack has crossed the line; it is a real no-no and you have to show the people who have done this that we are not going to put up with it."
"You've got to stand up and do something...."
"But the main thing is it's freedom. So, yeah, I wrote a song about freedom, about how it's my right, and anyone who would take it away would have to answer."
Also, Paul stated on his official site a few months ago that although he is generally for non-violence, a horrible act like Sept. 11th is uncalled for, and we have to defend ourselves. So, if none of this convinces you, then I don't know what will. Furthermore, as a fellow American Shinestar, if you don't think we should be defending ourselves after thousands of our innocent loved ones were killed, then either you were living under a rock on Sept. 11th, or I just don't know what your problem is.
