About question 2, wouldn't it be better to ask Yoko herself? Anyhow, do you mean "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love"? Then I don't know what you mean by "blatant" arrangements. Of course, we will never know if
John would have liked the way they turned out - but for me personally, they were quite good collaborations, even if maybe not masterpieces. I love the middle eight of "Free as a Bird", and on "Real Love" George's presence is quite important - to a point that when the first chords are played and I'm just doing "casual listening" (i.e. not paying much attention), I first think "what a nice George song" before I realize it's "Real Love". That maybe does not say anything about the song's quality, but it somehow makes it dearer to me.
And I don't know about the "meat", either - remember he's a veggie

When will we have this "hardcore fans only, Beatles nostalgics keep out" concert at a small and cosy venue?
