OK, what a dream task - you can ask the man anything
and, what's best, he'll give you a valid answer.
Here are my dream Q's :

1. When was the last time you worked w/ John (or he w/ you) on a song ?
2. Did you compose "Helter Skelter" with Yoko in mind ?
3. Do you plan to keep your current band for years ahead or not ?
4. Will there be a "McCartney Anthology" within a few years ?

1. Do you remember some fans in the audience after a show, or do you forget them very quickly?
2. What do you think of that people call Jackson for King of pop?
3. Can you imagine yourself play big tours after the 2005/2006 tours?
4. Why do you never play some of your greatest hits as Pipes of peace, With a little luck and No more lonely nights live?
5. Are there songs or albums you wish that you never have made. Are there some mistakes you would have changed if you could?

I do like question 2 and 3, but I think the reason why George did not appear on his albums is that George did not want to do it. Paul said that he likely wanted to write with george, but George did not want to do it. He felt himself unhappy with the way Paul dominated the groups last years. I think it could be the answer..

John loved Lewis Carroll stories and poetry w/ neologisms, puns and so forth, so he wanted to include a good LC character in his 1967 song "I'm the Walrus". John said that the "good guy" in one of Carroll's great stories/poems was the Carpenter and he wanted to "be" it in his song but he did'nt like the name at all. it would be no fun singing 'I'm the carpenter", so he changed for "I'm the Walrus", which was a bad character in the same story.

I would ask: What's your opinion of the cream-of-the-crop grunge from the 90s? (Soundgarden etc) Do you listen to it? Do you stay 'up' with musical trends?

2) Why did Yoko not object to what seems to me quite blatant arranging of 2 songs.

About question 2, wouldn't it be better to ask Yoko herself? Anyhow, do you mean "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love"? Then I don't know what you mean by "blatant" arrangements. Of course, we will never know if John would have liked the way they turned out - but for me personally, they were quite good collaborations, even if maybe not masterpieces. I love the middle eight of "Free as a Bird", and on "Real Love" George's presence is quite important - to a point that when the first chords are played and I'm just doing "casual listening" (i.e. not paying much attention), I first think "what a nice George song" before I realize it's "Real Love". That maybe does not say anything about the song's quality, but it somehow makes it dearer to me.

And I don't know about the "meat", either - remember he's a veggie

Back to topic, I think two questions I might like to ask him are:

When will we have this "hardcore fans only, Beatles nostalgics keep out" concert at a small and cosy venue?

Were you and John really planning to do some work together before he got assassinated?
