Poem that I wrote in 8th grade

Postby JimmyMcCullochFan » Thu Jan 06, 2005 3:47 am

I just found this poem t hat I wrote in 8th grade. It's called "Imagine There's No Brady Girls" to the tune Imagine by John Lennon.

Imagine there's no Marcia
It's hard to do
No one to stare at
And no Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, to
Imagine there's no Marcia
No date with Doug Simpson today

Imagine there's no Jan
No one to stare at
No date with the most popular guy
Imagine no locket
No Jan, Jan, Jan today

Imagine there's no Cindy
No Kitty Karry-all below us
Above us only Fluffy
Imagine there's no Cindy
No lisps today
"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."

Which one of them was your fave Brady girl ?
I know at least one of them turned out pretty as an adult (I don't know their real names)....

Imagine there's no Bush
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to feel disgusted for
and no warlords too
Imagine all the people
leading life in peaceful mood....

How about changing the lyrics of "Martha My Dear" to "Marcia My Dear" ?
(Please don't take offense on my suggestion just because Paul's song is for his Shepherd Dog).
What I meant is that the song title has a nice ring if you say "Marcia" !
So it's a nice start and from there you could devise new lyrics to it.

I just found an essay that I had published for the official Maureen McCormick (Who played Marcia Brady) fan club. My essay was called, The Importance Of Marcia Brady To TV. Here's the link to that http://maureenfanclub.tripod.com/ezine19/mbrady.htm

Nice essay, man ! It reads smoothly.
She (I mean, her character Marcia B.) must have influenced many girls in a big way - and what a beneficial influence it must have been !
