Yes, a very rare display from Beatle George.... 8)
particularly during those Let it Be sessions.

I always thought George was really funny. Sometimes I think that people didn't notice it because they were all concentrating on John. Also, personality wise, I don't think he minded being a sub-beatle behind John and Paul. Although creatively, he's just as significant.

my two favourite songs of his with a really soulful voice are "Long long long" and my fav: "my sweet lord". He sounds very genuine.

I think George was hilarious but all four of them were to me. My fav George is I got my mind set on you as well as Give me Love. I think that's a beautiful one. I would have loved to hear him do Something on the ukele.
What are you doing on the floor?
I'm tired

George was a big fan of George Fromby (I think that's how it's spelled), a singer/ukele player from the 40's, I guess. George played the thing at GF conventions in Britain in the 90's.

That's why "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" is in "Brainwashed". I'm not sure whether it's a GF tune, but it's there because of him. However his feeling for it, George's singing is not very good on it, I think.

You're just joking, aren't you?? They can fit in really beautifully, just think of "Ram On"...
It's the start of a journey
To a much better place
And this wasn't bad
So a much better place
Would have to be special...

Just for curiousity, wasn't a ukelele the first instrument John learnt to play?? Or was it a banjo??
