What do you think about the cover-songs on this album? I´m satisfied with lot of them, just except for "Anna" dunno why.. Baby it´s you is not my taste of cofeee either, but indeed some brave covers.
You must appreciate the day...

I agree. An AWESOME early Lennon vocal.

Dunno if it´s shallow, but a bit weird. :) One song that I especially love is " A taste of honey". Awesome vocal by Paul, and the beatles did a good work on it.

[quote="theDingle"]I wonder what the percentage is of newer Beatle fans The main things that stand out to me on this one are the enthusiasm and tightness of the band

That's exactly what "Please Please Me" means to me. It was the first Beatles album I ever heard and that's what the Beatles mainly mean to me to this day - youth, enthusiasm, energy, joy.
I first heard it at 11 on a trip abroad with my family, and the songs in it are still connected, in my memory, to the landscapes of Germany and Switzerland (that was my first time abroad as well). I very soon discovered the later albums - Sgt. Pepper, Yellow Submarine, ets, and was equally enchanted, But my favorite period has always remained the early years - 1963 - 1965.
