I guess they aren't Beatle related, but I was first drawn to them because lead singer Justin Currie sounds so much like Pete Ham. They've got a half dozen really good albums out, and a "best of" if you've never heard them and want to take a chance.

Erm, well oh tree, I do remember hearing one cut by them that got some airplay in the early 90s, but I don't remember the name of it, nor how it went, so I suppose they didn't strike me as a strong enough group or sound to pursue.

I remember a song of theirs which got a lot of airplay in the early 90s, think it was called Roll To Me. But apart from that song, they're pretty much unheard of in New Zealand, and I doubt if people really know the name of the band or the song...they will just know the tune.

Ok, fair is fair...but where are they located again?

I tried to get into them because they are along the same lines as Squeeze and Crowded House ('80s Beatlesque pop) I just wasn't as impressed with them as I was Squeeze and Crowded House. I did like "Roll To Me" and "Last To Know." Scotland has produced so many groups like that - one or two hit wonders that never really seem to build a sustainable career. Maybe Franz Ferdinand can buck that trend.
