Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the reason for the sudden cut because the tape ran out?

Wow I love the solo in "Octopuss garden", very nice. I think it´s Ringos best compotion even he just has got two :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well, I don't know, I heard the original version was much much longer, and they just simply cut it somewhere, so i don't think it would've been because of the tape running out. Maybe the reason was they didn't have enough space on one side of the LP for the long version... But I'm really not sure about this, just guessing. :roll:

I often thought myself that was planned, I mean, they did that purposefully...

Ah yes..even for the lads themselves. It was the song-snippet just after Polythene Pam on an early version (thus the chord at beginning of HM). It was cut from the final version, but the engineer accidentally left it on the tape right at the end and they like it, so it stayed.

You could see that was a "false end" then... but The Beatles was truely ended soon after...
