You know, John may have thought of Paul when he coined the "Dirty Macs" bandname, but I agree with you that John would not be in an angry frame of mind when he did it. He was just being Lennon, you know, came up with a funny name and quite possibly an homage to his long standing partner, Paul !

Interesting thing happened during the shooting period of this film. Huge fan of Stones from UK was there and when they had a break he went to pee to the bushes or somewhere, suddenly he noticed two guys, one in other side, another in other side of him doing the same thing. Those were Brian Jones and John Lennon.
