The rumors were confirmed today: Paul McCartney will play the 18th annual Bridge School Benefit.

The Beatle bassist joins a lineup with Neil Young, Tony Bennett, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Tegan and Sara.

Each year, Young puts together an all-star show that benefits the Hillsborough school for children with severe speech and physical impairment.

The acoustic concert is set for 5 p.m. Oct. 23 and 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. Tickets are $55.75 for seats and $38.75 for the lawn. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Sunday at http://www.bgp.com and Ticketmaster outlets, including http://www.ticketmaster.com and (408) 998-8497, (415) 421-8497, (510) 625-8497, (925) 685-8497. If you want to avoid the service charge, go to the Shoreline box office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

I just got my tickets for the show today. It looks like it sold out very quickl. Is anyone going to the show. I wonder what his set list will be for this acoustic show.

The concert is on Oct 23/24, so it still coming up.
Some songs I'd love to hear acoustic at this concert ...
CALICO SKIES, JUNK, HERE THERE AND EVERYWHERE, MOTHER NATURES SON, ROCKY RACOON, HEY JUDE. I can't wait for the show, I have lawn seats for Sat and seat seats for Sun. An allstar singalong of Hey Jude would be awsome. Paul and Neil doing Harvest Moon together. Wow the possibilities are endless...
