The rumors were confirmed today: Paul McCartney will play the 18th annual Bridge School Benefit.
The Beatle bassist joins a lineup with Neil Young, Tony Bennett, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Tegan and Sara.
Each year, Young puts together an all-star show that benefits the Hillsborough school for children with severe speech and physical impairment.
The acoustic concert is set for 5 p.m. Oct. 23 and 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. Tickets are $55.75 for seats and $38.75 for the lawn. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Sunday at http://www.bgp.com and Ticketmaster outlets, including http://www.ticketmaster.com and (408) 998-8497, (415) 421-8497, (510) 625-8497, (925) 685-8497.
