Latvia was one one of the Soviet republics after World War II, from 1940-1991, but Chezhoslovakia "was made" from Chezhia and Slovakia.

Latvia is one of the Baltic States near the baltic sea, easter europe, across the sea from Sweden.

As I like psychedelic music anyway, I'm glad this thread has been started. As for favourite Beatles psychedelic tracks, it's a choice between Rain (great bass line) and Blue Jay Way.

Liam - yes, a little bit I think, "Rubber Soul" was in the time that psychedelism was in its early days... The Psychedelia started to spread out strongly in whole world from mid-1966, when Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Grateful Dead, THE BEATLES themselves and others was forming the psychedelic music groups; Mary Quant created mini-skirts(thanks Mary!!), Indian and Eastern culture diffusing in the Western world...and all that stuffs.

so i agree, some tracks are a little bit psychedelic, like In my life, Nowhere man, Girl, maybe What goes on as well

I just heard Lucy In The Sky covered by Elton John. He takes away every bit of psychedelia that makes the Beatles' version so interesting, and turns it into just another popsong. Very mediocre effort.

RS is generally agreed to be the first Beatles album where their music began changing. Psychedelic refers to LSD and taking thereof; music evolved from musicians doing that.
