Just a reminder to forum members who were not here when this thread was started - Macca said about a year ago that he loved chocolate and was eating it on a daily basis, specially during tours (together w/ stuff like almonds and nuts).

I wonder where chocolate made its first known appearance on this planet of ours....does anyone know ?

I´ve always thought that there was something special with chocolate, it´s something you gave to someone you love. And if nuts is added is more comfortable and the enjoying, but I dunno anything about the appearance

Well, the earliest appearance must have been when people drank cocoa (round the 17th-18th century maybe?) that was rather bitter than sweet back then.

chocolate started a long time ago with one of those spanish tribes, i think it was the aztecs...or maybe the mayans...probably the aztecs

Well Megs those were actually Mexican tribes - you know part of the original Americans (= colonizers of the American Continent).
But anyway yeah, your mention kinda rang a bell in my head, I guess that's the oldest chocolatey reference known to us.
I believe that that nasty, vicious Cortez and his bloody raids on those poor Aztecs put a damper on the spreading the word about chocolate for a long time. He was such an evil brickhead, he had the end he deserved.

Been munching on some dark chocolate, hummm - tasty !
Dark choco is one of the best foods with cholesterol control (in with the good one, out with the bad one) traits !
Macca loves chocolate, I wonder which brand is his favorite.
