I think I was 6 years when I heard "And I love her" first time, what an experience for me then. I´ve grown up with that music, I think " Yesterday" was the first song I ever heard.

The movie was also important for the big success of the album...after the movie, The Four Lads of Liverpool were truely known ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Even Macca only has 3 songs I think it´s among the 5 best on the album..

I have similar memories to Maestri's about this one. I don't know if it was the first one I ever heard as a full Beatle-album, but surelyit was the first thing I pulled out when I was about 12 or 13. That was when I really started to get into the Lads, and I thought "ok, let's hear this one." And it was a blast... It was just so different from anything I'd heard before... It was so real. I can't describe better what I felt about it then, just that it was so very real all round. (lol, I know I don't make sense, but I just had to say this )

A thing that I can´t remmember is if AHDN movie at least was nominated to the Oscar award...not sure if Richard Lester was nominated to the best film direction...

Of course it got Oscar nominations! For Best Music and Best Original Screenplay, nothing for Dick Lester or the film itself though...
