I realize that at the end of lot of songs Paul say "Thank you very much followed by a "Tha"! anyone knows why?... Trying to imitate an american accent?...Some internal joke?...??? [?]

It was a subliminal message to the rest of the band during the 89-90 and 93 tours: "Throw Hamish Away"

I was last in the UK in 1987 (SOB!!) so maybe I'm "walking on thin ice", but then "TA" was simply short for "thank you".

I think it's a sound that is a variation on "Uhhh" (it sounds more like "uhhhhh" to me actually) or "Ummm"....nothing special or inside, IMHO. Just a bridge between actual words.
