Yes - and Martin's tunes make for even better listening when watching the movie. [:)] They fit snugly in it.

Okay :? YS and AYNIL was released before that album and maybe they could have added some more songs they have wrote instead of Martins b side. Only one Paul vokal on the album, but very great "All together now" was a great hit on football stadiums. Good work by George I think.

I can remmember that YS was the last Beatles album I bought...saw the fim first in the 70's and just after I went to buy it. Now I've got the DVD with bonus scenes(Hey Bulldog)... 8)

This album is very underrated because it is reminded just for the anime-movie more than the album...

I think Beatles should have wrote some more songs instead of that George Martin arranged that classical songs.. :?

did they even WRITE songs specifically for that movie? heck, even "Yellow Submarine" was recycled. I read somewhere that this movie was a ploy that backfired on the Beatles. They wanted to get out of their movie deal with United Artists, so they just made a cartoon, with little involvement, and United Artists said they needed to make a live action film to fulfill their contract (which ended up being let it be, obviously).

...maybe "All together now" could've been made for the movie....
