As a Beatle, Paul made true pop classics like "Yesterday", "Eleanor Rigby", "The Long And Winding Road", "Here, There And Everywhere" and awesome songs like "For No One", "Mother Nature's Son", "Honey Pie", "When I'm 64", "Martha My Dear"....
In solo career he made memorable pop songs as "My Love", "Band On The Run", "Let'Em In", "Silly Love Songs", etc. unforgettable tunes in the people's mind until today...but particularly to ME, Paul was MORE inspired and creative when he was a Beatle IMO. That doesn't mean that as solo artist he's less inspired of course. It's just a personal opinion...

I think his first sign on that he was a talent of god, was "And I love her" and therefrom "Yesterday" etc... I think he grew up to his biggest position in his careere during "Sgt. pepper", that time, that influence he had on the group. Look at their chatalog during 1967. All Pauls projekts for the group, and think he grew incredible high up during that time. And since then he has keep on growing.
