My fave stuff from the psychedelic era of 1966-67 (NOT NECESSARILY PSYCHEDELIC SONGS):

1= Eleanor Rigby
1= A Day In The Life
3. Strawberry Fields Forever
4. All You Need Is Love
5. Within You Without You
6. Tomorrow Never Knows

There. Predominantly John doing psychedelic stuff.

And Len, I agree with your comments - Help was the first turning point, but it wasn't until RS that they really started doing hugely different stuff, and they went even further on Revolver.

I personally find Help a difficult album to classify. The Beatles had three eras:

1962-64: Standard rock & roll

Help (1965)

Then

1965-67: Psychedelic
1968-70: More serious music

Help comes in between the rock'n'roll and the psychedelia, making it a tought one . . .

-Revolver
-Sgt.Pepper's
-Magical Mystery Tour
The covers, lyrics, sound effects, all of those albums well represent the psychedelia-era.

yes, i agree with u, all these 3 albums are psychedelic. The most psychedelic one from this period is I am the walrus, i think. a little bit terrifying, frustrating.

That's funny to remind that time... When I see those old photos of my family like my elder cousins there was all that psychedelic climate even in Brazil. Those colored clothes, rounded glass rims, long haired style, all those "Peace and Love" symbols, Indian gowns, well, that's really funny!! I was only a child but remmember a few of those psychedelic stuffs, and of course, specially the music.

i dont remember anything cause i wasnt born yet )) but i hope it doesnt matter.
its hard to speak about beatlemania in latvia, u see, we were occupied by Russia for 50 years and started to hear something from beatles in late 60ies, i think. there were no periodicality, just joy to get SMTH from it.
