Ok Liam, I'll bite. Origin and meaning of Whip-Around, please? I get the drift, but it's intriguing to me.

The origins of the term "whip-round", I haven't the foggiest on, I'm afraid.

But the meaning is basically, lots of people quickly pooling together to raise a bit of cash.

So what I mean was, if all you Yanks on here quickly looked in your pockets and pooled together your resources, to get me a copy of Paul Is Live, then, you know . . .

On the Mike's poll the best album must be "BOTR" or "FP"... Hard choice, but I ever would vote to "BOTR", though "FP" is very good as also is "DR".

Yeah, it's a very close run thing between Band and Pie. I'd go for Pie, but only just. Pie has better lyrics overall.

You're right on that Liam, the Pie's lyrics has more consistence, while BOTR has much "nonsense" THOUGH musically, I like it much more.
I think there aren't songs that I don't like on BOTR!! I like it all!!

The lyrics on FP are definitely more personal and deep. But BOTR rocks more. However, Driving Rain is still the best.
