You can buy it in the US as well.....Let me explain about not listening to the official version....long agao, I made copies of my fave Beatle songs and put them on 5 80 minute CDs. I got about 90% of the collection and I take them everywhere. The good news is that can any of us name ANY badn where you consider 90% of their stuff top notch? :o

Good idea, Steve-o. This cut was the only one that I did not readily take to when I first heard it--not sure why, maybe it was because the vocals sounded like a weak AM radio signal. But a couple of years later I got hip to the guitar-o-bass riff and was hooked! I now like it much better than the original flip side.

Yep..by me slightly downsizing the catalogue, I probably have forgotten some gems here and there....some of my omissions: Yellow Submarine, Rev #9, etc, but I mainly did it to add in the PM 1 & 2 into their proper historical place. And my wife says I'm anal....imagine THAT.... :)..but it may be time to rethink the process and do a new set..besides, it's always fun to do!! Such a great and awesome catalogue that the public and the fanatics sometimes take for granted....

Yep ! Some sources say George actually played the bass. Some others say it was Paul. I'll have to check on the "Bible" (The Beatles Recording Sessions) and trust what's in there. :)

I think Paul played bass and George guitar on the basic track, then Paul overdubbed piano. The only thing John does on this is backing vocals I think (think there's only one guitar going on).

Hi Berk!! Have you been travelling somewhere?? :)
Well, I wonder if George could play bass like that... if he could do it, all my praises to him!!! A song that I know that George played bass is on "Hey Jude"... on what other songs did he play bass? I can´t remmember without searching about the recording sessions...
