Gilmour´s live performance at the Cavern

I definitely believe he sucked. In fact, I never liked him even in Floyd. There´s a funny moment in which Macca looks at him so angry, just after a mistake he makes(i think it happens in Try not to cry)

I've always liked the guy a great deal, as has Paul. He did the original guitar solo on Your Loving Flame in Dec 1999 on the Parkinson show with Paul. He was also there to play in Paul's RDR band for that British TV show.

Believe it or not, even with over 4,000 posts, I'm probably one of the few here who has never seen the Cavern show. I just never got around to buying it. Hopefully someday soon when I have some extra money. So, I can't comment on Gilmour's performance that night. But I do know one thing, there's no way David Gilmour sucks in general. No way. I think his work with Pink Floyd was superb. I also like his voice.

There was a roughness to it that was appropriate for the material, to be honest. I liked the way that band played the oldies.

I saw nothing wrong with Gilmour that night in Cavern. The songs were all pretty good to me. Paul seemed to be relaxed and enjoying the show.

Agreed. I have not had any problems with the guy. I'm not a Pink Floyd fan by any means, though.
