Myth says there are 28 snare beatings in that part of the song when there`s only drums, coz John was recently 28. I dont remember exactly when the song was recorded, i`d have to check.

And your details dont shoot down the myth, the legend, haha. We are talking of 9-18-68, and Lennon`s birthday is on 10-9. So, just a 21 days difference. He was reaching the f***ing 28, he was on the eve of his birthday, in other words. Too much coincidence if the song would have been recorded the same day.
