MACCA the drummer

How do you guys rate Macca as a drummer??? I reckon Macca as not excellent or virtuose but as efficient on drums. He knows how to conduce the rythm of the beat, so much as even Who´s Keith Moon asked him who played drums on BOTR that he liked too much, and Paul replied that was JUST himself, and Moon wondered about that.

Peace.

Paul is decent, can keep a beat. But he's nowhere near a virtuoso.

Take it away, wanna hear ya play til the lights go down....

Right, both---he's efficient and can keep a beat....but I do like his style. I also like to watch him as he's doing it, --especially in the video, coming up, with all the funny faces of the bearded mountain man...

Lonely driver out on the road....

The "Sparks" inspired keyboard player is pretty good, too....

Sooner or later we all will be there....

Me too!! I like a lot that video, guys!!! The character with thick lens glasses seems to be Buddy Holly, isn´t?? Buddy was one of Paul´s great idol. Even now the MTV shows that video sometimes, because that´s really good!!

Peace.

Also it´s true that "Coming Up" was of promo-film era yet, before MTV video-clip era, right? If not mistaken, MTV was activated in 1981, and the promo was of 1980.

Peace.
