I always felt the same way about Let 'Em In even tho it's one of my faves! Temporary secretaries are workers hired on a temporary basis, quite different from interns. In CA it never rains but when it does, it pours I think is what he meant by driving rain, also a play on driving in the rain.

Let 'Em In, I totally agree. If he had let 'em in instead of writing that song . . . if only!

My Brave Face - it's a metaphor, you know, "put on a brave face about something". It's not silly at all.

Press - the line "tell me to press" meaning he wants to press her with his love. Voila!

Just been listening to PTP actually. Well, up to Pretty Little Head, which is really silly. The hi-fi went funny on the next song, so I stopped and came down to the cyber-cafe.

Also listened to BTTE the other day - OK, I get it now. I like that album a lot more than I did
