Out of the Cradle - Lindsey Buckingham. I was talking Mr. Dingle on another thread about this album. I had forgotten what an INCREDIBLE album this is. I remember hearing "Countdown" on the radio when it first came out, and I called the radio station and told them to play it more often. Of course because of corporate ownership of the radio stations, good music like this never gets played any more.
This album ranks right up there with anything Mr. Buckingham ever did with Fleetwood Mac IMHO. (And he did some incredible stuff with them. As far as I'm concerned, he WAS Fleetwood Mac from 1975-1987) Sure, Stevie has a unique voice and a cool persona, but Lindsey is the songsmith - no doubt about that. This album really proves it. It's a pop masterpiece.
Too bad he's never really been given credit for the pop genius that he is. I hope he releases another solo album after the current Fleetwood Mac tour. BTW - I do think Say You Will has some great moments on it, too. I'm glad he's working with them again now. I just want another Out of the Cradle album!!!
