SOMETHING strange??

I suppose you all know that Macca did a version of "Something" on his last tour and also at the Concert for George. Before actually starting to perform it, he told us about how they used to play the ukulele at George's and then he went on to say that he played a little tune for George, which he was now going to play for us. When I first heard this, I thought he had made a mistake and actually meant to say that George had played it for him. But at the Concert for George, he almost literally repeated the same words. Was he insinuating that "Something" was not really George's??? Does anybody know "something" about this? It really has me concerned.

You have to be kidding, right? When he said that to George, it was a surprise, as he took the trouble of doing up his own arrangement of George's song to be played for George. That's all that he meant, trust me. He was NOT saying that Something was a Macca song. It was a nice little tribute amongst dear friends.

My guess: Paul probably meant he surprised George by playing "Something" on the ukulele during a visit, knowing very well George's fondness for the instrument...
Of course the "little tune for George..." was George's own !
