Haha---I've heard them all before . He was very very good in his 2nd, third, and 4th years before his lead feet got him killed behind a sub-par line. His best attributes: Reading defenses, being a leader, and finding the open man---average arm but lotsa heart, but not Unitas or HOF material, for sure.

He played baseball for the New York Yankees in the late 30's, 40's and early 50's. The Yankee Clipper. Big Number 5. 56 game hitting streak---awesome Hall of Famer. He was married to Marilyn Monroe for a bit.

Thanks Steve... I know he was married with MM, but did he really an entertainement or a talk-show on TV(after the end of his career)?? I heard that he did play roles in some films too, is that true??

Hmm..I don't remember hearing about that. I doubt the movie thing. Even though Joe was married to a movie star, he disliked the spotlight of Hollywood. I think that's actually the main reason why they divorced. Joe wanted Marilyn to stay home and have them live a normal home life.
