"Greatest Flix"

Postby Liam OSM » Sat Jun 22, 2002 1:24 pm

We've seen numerous Greatest Hits packages over the years by our man Macca. What about a collection of the videos to his singles? A "Greatest Flix", if you will? Me, I haven't seen any of the vids for his singles - except a little bit of Ebony & Ivory, and Mull Of Kintyre. I'd like to know what I'm missing here!

yes that would be sooo cool to have a video history! I think the wingspan CD has promo vids on there...
Paul, however, doesn't tend to make the best videos y'know?

I believe in me

Paul announced a couple months ago that a dvd/video collection of his music promos would be released, along with a film/documentary of the tour. The concert film should be released before the end of the year, (I'm guessing right before Christmas time, as to make great Christmas presents), and the music video collection I believe is supposed to be released like early next year.

I've seen more of his videos on vh1 classic rock than anywhere else.
A lot of george videos too. It's a pretty neat station.

Am i so glad that some of you have noticed a lack of video compilations of pauls,he had a chance with all the best, and then wingspan, and you could say Wings Greatest, and he never took the opportunity like most artists to re-cooperate the money he spent on making them by selling onto video.Like you i have seen some video's but usually only bits, and never the full lot.Has anyone who has these channels on satelite/cable ever thought of making their own compilation,by editing.
Is it true he is finally going to release one,i thought each time he had missed his chance and that was it.It would be alot of videos now and maybe have to be a couple of volumes.........
So does anyone have these videos on copy for purchase,i have been waiting and looking since 1984 ,All the best time.........AND HELLO ALL Mike,NB:jpm IS James Paul McCartney, good eh!!!!

Hey, JPM. Welcome to the board. Yes, it's true. Paul announced HIMSELF that he will be releasing a vhs/dvd of his promo videos. He announced this during his live internet chat a few months ago. I believe he said it will probably be released early next year.
