A Long and Winding Road

Many unknowing people have carelessly bought this WINDING ROAD thing on line, thinking it to be the ANTHOLOGY set. A friend of mine was such a victim of this deception.

Why he thought WINDING ROAD was the same as ANTHOLOGY:

1) Both have 5 DVD discs
2) Was advertized as the definitive story of the Beatles.
3) Release date very close to the ANTHOLOGY release date
4) LONG AND WINDING ROAD once served as a working title for what became ANTHOLOGY

LONG AND WINDING ROAD was available at least a week or two ahead of ANTHOLOGY, so some fans, anxious for ANTHOLOGY, thought that this was the real deal. I saw bits of it, and it's truly crap.

That's why I kept asking where the "official" word was on this thing.....
