I grew up "Southern Presbyterian" but I made the rounds to all kinds of churches. My first visit to a Pentecostal church as a teenager was a nice contrast after years of sterile Presbyterianism. I still think it's cool that Presbyterians were very active in the Underground Railroad. I don't church anymore, but I do believe.

I dig DuVall. Thought he was great in The Great Santini.

I just rented BRAVEHEART. I liked it so much I watched it twice.

Billy Bob Thornton keeps following me around. First he films a movie in the town I grew up in. (Sling Blade - Benton, Ark.) Now he's filming in the city I currently live in. (Fayetteville, Ark.) I can't escape BBT!!!

MOTM: Rules of Attraction. Bret Easton Ellis is a genius.

Yup, I'm with you on that. Outrageous movie - with McCartney sneaking into the soundtrack.
Looking forward to Matrix 2 tomorrow night.

Last 2 movies I watched:

Marlon Wayans & Shawn Wayans in DON'T BE A MENACE TO SOUTH CENTRAL WHILE YOU'RE DRINKING YOUR JUICE IN THE HOOD. Just got this on DVD. One of my favorites!! I think I love it because it parodys all those "growing up in the hood" movies my ex-wife made me sit through!

Monty Python in MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL. A timeless classic that never gets old for me. The new DVD version is fantastic. Lots of great extras!

There was a nice article on one of the lord of the rings websites and it had a quote from macca saying that his favorite movie is "lord of the rings". I new he had good taste.[;)]
