For me, I think it has to be Strawberry Fields Forever. Penny Lane is pretty cool too.

I LOVE Paperback Writer and Rain with the very cool shades. Awesome. Love PL & SFF. Great hippy stuff, and at the time, In January of 1967, I had never seen them with mustaches. They showed both "early meant to be for pepper"-clips on the Hollywood Palace first, an ABC Sat night variety show, and it ROCKED my world again.

I always found it funny, (I think it was on Anthology), when Dick Clark played the SFF promo on Bandstand for the first time. The kids in the audience didn't know WHAT to make of it. They didn't even comment on the song itself. They just made general comments like "I think it was weird." "They look funny with those moustaches." LOL. I guess I can imagine being a kid back then and being pretty taken aback at the drastic change.

I mean, to put it into focus, the only mustaches I ever saw were in old pictures and on GunSmoke. I was SHOCKED, but being a Midwesterner, we were kinda behind the fast times of SoCal and swinging London back then i guess.

fats times of Southern CA?
fast?
Believe me, Steve, southern CA has always been very L7.
I felt very much alone as a mega Beatles fan up until 1969, then I started meeting up with other fans.
Kids I went to school with were very unhip to everything.[xx(]

Auj..I was just saying that NYC, London and LA would probably see new stuff before I would in the pre-cable TV days of the 60's. More progressive. Fashion, trends, etc.

as far as trends and fashions- again LA and surrounding areas were ignorant of the whole 60s rev.
My sister was two years younger-Pep club. My parents hated The Beatles.
When I was 14, I sneaked off with a girlfriend and went into LA to go dancing at the Whiskey- Mohair Sam!- got beat when I got home.
I survived with issues of 16 magazine (bless you Gloria Stavers RIP)

Cool! L7, I thought that was a McCartneyism from C Moon! What does it mean?

That's right - the stories aren't on "Back in the U.S." Should we tell him before he see's the show? He explains the meaning of C-Moon and L7 during the show. Here's a hint: It sort of has something to do with the song "Wooly Bully" and un-hip people.

BTW - My seat during the second Dallas show was Row L, Seat 7. Kind of cool to hear C-Moon having that seat. (It wasn't the night they caught me on film, however)
