Chris, are you high?. The bass on rubber soul is very low end for its time and satisfactory for these days.

Well, that's the essence of listening to the sound of the 60s, either you hear it from 4 tracks or from mono. I wouldn't enjoy the early Beatles sound if they're in dolby 5.1 now cause I know they were recorded that way in the early 60s. I enjoy all the songs in their original recordings, low-tech or not.
