Sun now claims Paul also changing Order

Postby Chris Speers » Thu Nov 14, 2002 2:33 am

Also, the Ram and Wildlife songs are now credited Linda McCartney-Paul McCartney. And also live and let die and another handful of songs from the early 70's. Geoff Baker will probably announce that since Linda McCartney wrote most of the songs on her own - she deserves the featured billing. After all, it is Linda who wrote most of Bip-Bop, I Lie Around, and the McCartney classic "Loop" First Indian on the moon.

You have to be a little annoyed at this billing crap. It's bunch of crap.

Chris. I have the original albums of Ram and Wild Life and they were credited to both when released.

Ah Chris,
negative negative posts all the time...
On my old VJ single of Please Please Me it has McCartney/Lennon.
And as Paul says it was only because John was the loudest that it was Lennon/McCartney anyway.
They both have big egos and some insecurities.
It's not a big deal.
We fans know who wrote what. We know which songs are primarily J or P songs.
This thing about Paul switching the songwriting around is just a little insecurity thing of his. It seems important to him as it was to John when they were kids.
I don't see it as an excuse to knock or criticize Paul.

Auj...nice pick-up....I just looked at my copy of the original VJ Album (The Betales first here in the US, entitled: Intdoducing The Beatles--it was mostly the same as the PPM album in Great Britain) It clearly says McCartney-Lennon on all originals.

Oh, yeah, I got that old VJ album too so long ago. It is totally unplayable, but then all my old Beatles albums are like that. I still have them, but I just look at them.

Just shows how ignorant the press is that they wouldn't know that.
I remember very clearly their reaction to The Beatles when they first arrived and it was 99% negative. Stupid press. I was only 12 then and was already way smarter than them.[:D]
