No. Chinese Torture it ain't. Chinese Torture is a bonus track on Queen's "The Miracle" album - that's what it's called, honestly - "Chinese Torture". Not much to the track really . . .

Probably #3 on my list of favorite Beatles albums. I have to admit that I never skip ANY of the album. I don't love REVOLUTION 9 but I don't skip it. I'm the sort who rarely skips tracks.

Very often I follow the white album with disc 1 of ANTHOLOGY 3, if I hadn't yet had enough '68 Beatles. I think WHAT'S THE NEW MARY JANE is even worse than REVOLUTION 9! I love NOT GUILTY.


I've often wondered though...Suppose The Beatles had taken George Martin's advice and made this album a single LP? In some ways I think they used up too many decent songs at once, which might have made the GET BACK project a bit stronger in terms of new songs.

and I'm not hugely keen on Sexy Sadie, but I can just about put up with it.

Overall, good.

Rev 9 is a great sound collage. Sheesh, just because they're not singing "yeah yeah yeah" in perfect 3 part harmony, you all seem to think it is a piece of s**t. I applaud John for attempting to open people's minds with avant garde music. Frank Zappa had been doing it so well on his early albums, mixing pop with weirdoness, and his 1967 Lumpy Gravy album is like Rev 9 for 3/4 of an hour, but with an emphasis on classical instruments and spoken word, I guess you guys wouldn't be able to handle that either. Hmmmm.

And what the hell is wrong with Why Don't We Do It In The Road and Sexy Sadie? WDWDIITR is a raw, stomping rock tune, it's brilliant, and such a first-rate vocal performance from Paul. Sexy Sadie has awesome production, great lyrics, very cool drumming, great piano arrangement, great vocals and backing vocals, and an excellent guitar solo. And Wild Honey Pie is a fun track, I don't know why anyone would have anything against that track.

A true Beatles fan would appreciate and love EVERYTHING on this album.

Absolutely there is NOTHING wrong with both songs..."Why Don´t We..." is a short song but it really ROCKS!!! "Sexy Sadie" is one of the John´s best in Beatle period, nice melody, acid and sarcastic lyrics, the piano was very well played by Paul...just UNTOUCHABLE!!

I also enjoy Ringo's drumming on Sexy Sadie - some good simple-but-tight drumming there, he does some wonderful things towards the end with open hi-hats, suits the arrangement of the song. Wow, poor ole Maharishi must have been majorly bummed when he first heard that song.

Read that this album has sold 19 mill. and is the bestselling Beatles album.

Love the great variety there is on the album.

I always thought that it was Ringo yelling I´ve got blisters on my fingers now I heard it was John. Anyone??
