I like a smart-ass. I'm like that too, but I try and curb it because I just end up p***ing everyone off.[}:)]

you guys make a solid case about Denny, but I still think he added a lot of credibility and consistency to the band. Although we all know Paul would have gone on, I don't think "Wings" would have if denny had left at any time in the 70's. I don't think they would have done a world tour and it would have probably confirmed any assumptions that Paul was an egotistical freak--and that he broke up the beatles (or, to be more accurate, alienate John and George to find other interests aside from the beatles). I think Paul should have given Denny and the other band members more credit when he had the chance, and that was during "Wingspan". I was actually a little dissapointed that it was "all the best" all over again, instead of showcasing some of the music and accomplishments of a "band".

The "Band" WAS Paul. Period. Do you think they would have had awesome success without him? Umm...NO. Denny was just OK. He was a valuable sideman, but just that...a sideman. As for those nasty statements about Paul--Wings WAS his band afterall---who else is going to lead it? Denny? Umm..NO. Heck..Paul could have called any of the lineups since 1982 Wings if he chose to. Almost no one would buy an album by Denny Laine on his own or any of those other folks. Just ask Denny. He sold like 12 copies--career.
