Prediction time for a new album from Paul

Postby Aujouret » Sat Nov 09, 2002 4:16 pm

I'm gonna guess 2004.
He'll probably be tour UK/Europe in 2003 and possibly Australia, some of whose fans clearly do not deserve him[:D]
So I think 2004 is a possibility.
Of course, he and Heather are moving into a new home in Brighton, so will Paul commute to the studio at Peasmarsh? Will he keep that estate or sell it?[?]

I predict late 2003. With the same band as he toured with, so it will be a bit different than DR. No Gabe Dixon..add Wix and Bryan RaY...and add more backing vocals from these guys since we all know they can sing their asses off. I hope late 2003, anyway. And tour behind it in Spring 2004. I'm not greedy or anything, am I? LOL

Not much[:D]
I think you're right about the band members.
Let's hope Paul doesn't fall out with them and they continue to get along as they are a super band.
Yeah, Gabe is history.

Gabe had other committments. I liked his energy at the CFNYC though.

I'd guess more like mid to late 2005 - he's gonna need time to write the songs, and he'll be a bit busy on tour . . . we're talking a very long tour here!

I agree that we probably won't see a new studio album until '05. My prediction is that the box set comes out next year and Paul works on a new album in '04 to be released in '05, followed by another world tour. - Sort of the same cycle as Flowers in the Dirt/Off the Ground. He may do some one-off gigs between tours.

I figure 2 to 3 month on the conclusion of the tour whenever that is. Rest a bit, get the guys together on do some recording unless by then he wants to do something different like doing all the tracks himself.

That is of course, a possibility, that Paul may want to go it alone by the time he gets around to another album.
I know that his fans have really been very happy with this band, as they are fabulous.

As a couple others have said, I predict there won't be a new studio album until 2005. Paul generally releases a new studio album of original material every 4 years. And then in '06, he'll probably have his 'When I'm 64' Tour. Seems like a long time from now. But man, 4 years goes by so fast.
