Is it just me, or do George Harrison and Jeff Lynne have remarkably similar-sounding singing voices?

Actually not, as I do know a few other people who have made the same observation. Besides, you're biased. You have to like both of them, and I'm not sure you're overly thrilled by Jeff Lynne. [V]

I TOTALLY agree with you! I've always thought they sounded very similar - sort of like Julian and John. And it is the voice, not the Jeff Lynne-inspired-by-the-Beatles-orchestration background. Who knows, maybe he's tried to make his voice sound that way.

I'm not overly thrilled with Jeff anyway.
Dull and boring.
I do not like what he did to John's vocal in Free As A Bird.
It sounded so good on the demo.
He buried it. Sounds like Spector got a hold of it.[xx(]

Well go and get ELO's "Out Of The Blue" album. Listen to that, especially the amazingly Lennonesque "Wild West Hero" (amazing song). You'd swear it was George.

I can listen to the originals, I don't care for imitations.
I'm sure he was George's friend and that's enough.
Perhaps George trusted him with producing his last album, but he didn't follow George's wishes. He followed his own. That's arrogant in my view.

The Telegraph in the UK did an excellent review of Brainwashed, Steve. Did you see it?
"best album in 30 years."
That sounds wonderful I am so looking forward to hearing My sweet George again. I've been listening to the sound clips and I am impressed.
It certainly is welcome this month being the anniversary of George's passing. But I celebrate his life and music. What else can you do?
I shall check on the RS article. Thanks for the tip.
