"Right on down at the bottom of the sea
Tell me are you receiving me
My name is Morse Moose, and I'm calling you"

Ok, that's three lines, but wtf.

just checked the liner notes and Honey Hush was written by Big Joe Turner, not Paul. Actually, as I recall, he didn't write any of the songs on Run Devil Run.

Yes, Mr. dog is right on that one. If you you check your cd you shall find out that he wrote those three songs.

ADog--try this one:

Or....
Oh Woman, Oh Why

By Paul McCartney

Oh woman, oh why, why, why, why
What have I done
Oh woman, oh where, where, where, where, where
Did you get that gun
Oh what have I done
What have I done
Well I met her at the bottom of a well (of a well)
Well I told here I was tryin' to break a spell (break a spell)
But I can't get by, my hands are tied
don't why I ever got her to try myself
cause I can't get by, my hands are tied
Oh woman, oh why, why, why, why
What have I done
Oh woman, oh where, where, where, where, where
Did you get that gun
Oh what have you done
Woman what have you done
Well I am fed up with you lying cheating ways (cheating ways)
But I get up every morning and every day (every day)
But I can't get by , my hands are tied
Don't why I want her to try myself
Cause I can't get by, my hands are tied
Oh woman, oh why, why, why, why
What have I done
Oh woman, oh where, where, where, where, where
Did you get that gun
Woman, what have I done
What have you done
What have I done

Not sure about the "well" line---I don't recall it quite like that...also not sure who does the transcribing on this site...

What about, from his bit in A Day In The Life:

"found my way downstairs and drank a cup"

A cup? He had a cup to drink? Just a cup? Ouch!

The difference between genius and insanity is merely the difference between success and failure.

Airdog--I was in Celeveland at the time, and the "pop" stations were playing Another Day, and the Album Oriented head stations were playing OWOW. It IS insane.

TOTALLY INSANE.............Although I gave the website, you, Airdog, made me so curious that I HAD to look this one up.....

Monkberry Moon Delight

Paul McCartney

So I sat in the attic,
A piano at my nose,
And the wind played a dreadful cantata (cantata...).
Sore was I from the crack of an enemy's hose,
And the horrible sound of tomato (tomato...).

Ketchup (ketchup)
Soup and puree (Soup and puree),
Don't get left behind (get left behind)...

When a rattle of rats had awoken,
The sinews, the nerves and the veins.
My piano was boldly outspoken, in attempts to repeat its refrain.

So I stood with a knot in my stomach,
And I gazed at that terrible sight
Of two youngsters concealed in a barrel,
Sucking monkberry moon delight.

Monkberry moon delight,
Monkberry moon delight.

Well, I know my banana is older than the rest,
And my hair is a tangled beretta.
When I leave my pajamas to Billy Budapest,
And I don't get the gist of your letter (your letter...).

Catch up! (catch up),
Cats and kittens (cats and kittens),
Don't get left behind (get left behind)...

Monkberry moon delight...
Monkberry moon delight...
