Liam, you and your demo-usage. LOL. If a song is 10/10, then it's 10/10. If a song is fantastic, then a song is fantastic. It doesn't matter if the recording is bad or not. (Which, in this case, I don't think is bad.) Yes, John's vocals were a tad muddy, compared to what they would have been if he were in the studio with the rest of the lads. But, all in all, I think they did a great job in cleaning it up.
Oh, I fully agree on that - but for a better analogy, you shoul listen to the Queen and Freddie Mercury solo versions of the song "Made In Heaven". The Queen version is a surefire 10/10, while the Freddie version took a lot longer to grow on me, and I have eventually given it 7/10, as the SONG itself is great, but the RECORDING is not so great. Arrangement and all that . . .
