Flaming Pie!!!
I know lots of fans love BOTR, but FP is so cool.
Also RAM. And Venus and Mars. And DR. And RDR![:D]

Flaming Pie indeed, Auj! One of my favourite albums for sure! And Tug Of War, and Flowers In The Dirt - that covers all the essential ones (out of the studio albums anyway!)

Well, I can KINDA see what she's saying, OSM. When FP came out, I was INSTANTLY in love with it. And I still do love it. However, being such a mellow album, I think it was about time for Paul to ROCK again. And fortunately he does with Driving Rain.

I like rock as much as the next man, but you don't need heavy loud music to have powerful music. And songs like Somedays have that unassuming power about them that comes from this kind of song . . .

Of course not, Liam. I'm not saying that. A soft ballad can evoke just as much emotion in me as a hard rocker. All I'm saying is, after such a mellow album, I think it was about time for Paul to really thrash again. And I'm so glad he did on DR.

Personally, I think the song Off The Ground is a brilliant way of combining the two styles - the music is rock, but he's singing a ballad over the top! Who else could have got away with that!
