okay, okay...just want to say that My Sweet Lord sounds nothing like He's So Fine to me! But it's a weird thing, what w/ collective consciousness & all... I've heard Paul (or was it John) describe a Ringo episode in which he spent hours writing a song...that had already been written!

Now which song had Ringo (re)written? It was a Dylan song perhaps. Very charming & cute Ringo anectdote.

Yes, that's the one, Nich. The main melody of My Sweet Lord sounds almost EXACTLY like that. (My sweet Lord, oh my Lord, I really wanna see you Lord.) Now sing that to the tune of the Shirelle's song. Sounds just the same.

Imagine having to deliberate on that case. I'd go insane. I'm still on the fence but fortunately it's all ancient history for everybody concerned. The song is so evocative of the early 70s & love; this lawsuit doesn't tarnish it at all for me. I think it's the ultimate.
