you are, indeed. very savvy rowdie

I think McCartney II is an underrated masterpiece. I was very lukewarm to it when it came out in 1980, but this album has done nothing but grow on me year after year.
It is brilliant in both its oddity and its simplicity. It was Paul just having fun and letting his mullet down, not over thinking or over producing it. And I love cranking Temporary Secretary in the car. It annoys my 12 year old daughter to no end, but my 14 year old son kinda digs it. Just a superb album that I can't believe so many people trash. I even love the outtakes, like All You Horseriders. Just the vibe and sound of those sessions really connects with me.

there are so many that, imho, are 'crank'able...coming up, ts, darkroom, bogey music, nobody knows, check my machine, on the way...like a good Cure album...it's, as far a i'm concerned, meant to be played loud

it's one of my musts if i'm alone on a drive for a long time

why not some love for LT ??

it is a mighty fine album...chock full of mostly pretty nifty, often great tunes...catchy...inventive, in a quiet sort of way...

none...not one...imho, is bad by any stretch of the imag...

y'know..the distance betwix a #5 or #6 and, say, a #10 or a #11 (on any given day) might just be the effect of a wild mood swing or two...or a millimeter of thought

IF the title of this set of ruminations had been "macca albums you can't live without"...LT would've been on that list, no doubts...

but...since we were, by proxy, limited to 5 ?

i, for one, am glad we are not all cookie cutter maccademia lovers...that'd be more than kinda boring

hey !

i ain't raggin' on ya, o' most esteemed EF...just effusing the joy of variety and thoughtful parambulations of this supremely magificent musical arch :-D

I get it, Mr. H- you're just opining, but I wasn't criticizing the inclusion of London Town on some folks lists, but merely showing my surprise...I think it's great it's thought of so highly by some. Just goes to show how amazing our kid's music is.
